A special book capturing Liverpool’s most successful ever event has been published.
'In the Footsteps of Giants' is a glossy 104 page book re-living Sea Odyssey – Liverpool’s unforgettable event which commemorated the centenary of the sinking of the Titanic.
Due to popular demand Liverpool City Council is set to commission a book that commemorates the magnificent Giant Spectacular Sea Odyssey event. The book will contain hundreds of images captured over the memorable weekend and we are looking for you to get involved.

Thank you to all those who have supported the event so far! Yesterday saw the Little Girl Giant and Uncle take to the streets once again in the hope of finding each other. Their fantastic journey, which saw thousands descend into the city, culminated in a heart-warming reunification.

One of the great aspects of the Sea Odyssey event is that with the Giants being approximately 7m (23ft) and 15m (50ft) high, they are viewable from long distances. This should mean that everyone will get a good view. However to help maximise your enjoyment we would offer the following advice:

More than 100 people took part in the three Sea Odyssey Volunteer presentations at St George’s Hall held on Thursday 16 February. A very enthusiastic audience were treated to a sneak preview of the Sea Odyssey spectacular, adding to the excitement that is already mounting around the April event.
For anyone who would like to know more about Sea Odyssey and the Volunteer roles, presentations will take place in the Small Concert Room at St George's Hall, Liverpool on Thursday 16 February at 10am, 2pm and 5:30pm. The presentation will last for an hour and there will be the opportunity to ask questions to the team involved.
